In the premises of the Municipality of Semeljci on November 8, 2023. In 2008, the coordination and visit to the construction site of the EU project “Project to improve the water utility infrastructure of the Semeljci agglomeration” was held, co-financed from the Cohesion Fund.

The press conference was attended by Mr. Davor Vukmirić, Deputy General Director of Hrvatske Voda, Mr. Ivan Kočiš, Director of Đakovočko vodovod d.o.o., Mr. Grga Lončarević, Head of Semeljci Municipality, and other project partners.

CURRENT STATE OF WORK ON THE PROJECT

Total estimated value of the Project:

219.567.261,25 kn – 29.141.583,54  € (total amount of the Project)

175.653.809,00 kn  – 23.313.266,83 € (eligible costs)

121.734.196,10 kn –  16.156.904,39 €  (EU resources)

Contracted for now:

18,266,478.38 € (Part of the components remaining to be contracted as part of the procurement of communal equipment for the maintenance of drainage and water supply systems).

As part of the Project, there are three contracts for the construction of line buildings (construction of water supply and drainage pipelines) and a contract for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 4,800 ES.

In total, the Project envisages the construction of 50,826 m of drainage pipelines and the reconstruction and construction of 23,540 m of water supply pipelines with accompanying facilities (manholes, pumping stations, valve shafts, pressure boosting stations).

Building permits have been obtained for linear buildings, construction contracts have been signed and the works are in the final stages of execution. A Building Permit has been obtained for the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the work on the ground is expected to begin by the end of the month.

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF WORKS

LINE BUILDINGS

Group of works 1

  • includes works on the construction of the drainage system in the villages of Semeljci, Kešinci and Koritna, as well as the reconstruction and construction of water supply pipelines in the area of ​​the municipalities of Viškovci and Semeljci.

  • The construction of 31,860 m of drainage pipelines and 11,243 m of water supply pipelines is planned.

  • This contract also provides for the construction of home connections to the water supply system, the preparation of home connections to the drainage system, and the replacement of existing water meters with new ones.

  • The value of the contracted works is approximately EUR 7 million (€6,937,599.62).

  • The contractor started the work in August 2021, and the expected completion date is February 2024.

  • The water supply and drainage pipelines envisaged by the project have been fully implemented.

  • At the moment, preparations are being made for house connections and final landscaping works – rehabilitation of driveways and public areas.

  • As part of the contract, 31,875.70 m of drainage pipelines and 11,242.87 m of water supply pipelines were constructed.

Group of works 2

  • includes works on the construction of the drainage system in the settlements of Vrbica and Mrzović. For the Mrzović settlement, the works have been brought to an end and the Operating Permit was issued in June 2023. The project envisages the construction of a total of 18,965 m of drainage pipeline. The value of the contracted works is almost EUR 3 million (€2,897,660.90). The contractor started the work in August 2021, and the completion of the work and the issuance of the Operating Permit is expected at the beginning of 2024. In the village of Vrbica, the drainage pipelines have been completely installed, and preparations are currently being made for house connections and finishing works on landscaping – rehabilitation of driveways and public areas. As part of the contract, 18,995.06 m of drainage pipelines were constructed.

Group of works 3

  • includes works on the construction of a bypass pipeline around the town of Đakovo and works on improving the system of the wider Đakovo area. The contracted value of the works is €1,623,675.69. The contractor started the work in August 2021, and the use permit was obtained in April of this year. As part of the contract, 12,297.53 m of pipelines were built.

 

WASTEWATER PURIFICATION DEVICE

The location of the wastewater treatment plant is in the village of Semeljci. As part of this component, an access road and a wastewater treatment plant will be built. A Building Permit was obtained for the access road, and earthworks and works on filling and compacting the lower load-bearing layers of the pavement structure were carried out.

For the construction of a waste water treatment plant, the main project was drawn up and a building permit was obtained. Confirmation of the validity of the construction permit is expected by the end of November.

As part of the Project, the Procurement of communal equipment for the maintenance of drainage and water supply systems is planned: combined vehicle with recycling, measuring vehicle, combined excavator, backhoe, work vehicles for transporting materials and workers, measuring equipment, work equipment and IT equipment with an estimated value of 981,153.36 €.

So far, the following have been delivered: Combined excavator, backhoe, two vehicles for transporting materials and workers, and measuring equipment. The total value of the delivered equipment is €402,855.94.

The execution of the works was preceded by the activities of resolving property legal relations. Agreements were concluded on the establishment of easement rights on 359 parcels.

In addition to the above, the Project also includes the services of Supervision, Publicity and visibility, and Project Management.

The project to improve the water utility infrastructure of the Semeljci agglomeration was approved within the Operational Program “Competitiveness and Cohesion” 2014-2020. (OPKK 14 – 20), but will be redistributed to the National Recovery and Resilience Program (NRRP) and funding will continue through NPRO funds.

During August 2023, the User submitted the project application documentation for financing through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021 – 2026 to the competent authorities.
